Peter Sugarman represents a variety of clients across a full range of activity in corporate and commercial law, with a focus on Project Finance, High-Tech, Intellectual Property and Mergers and Acquisitions.
In Project Finance, Peter has represented consortium bidders as well as contractors, financiers and investors, in numerous projects in different fields, including, water desalination, road construction (toll based and others) and most recently a military base. In these deals Mr. Sugarman has handled a wide variety of legal matters, covering tender compliance, corporate structuring, financing agreements, construction and operation agreements and specialized subcontractor agreements. Peter brings to this field his unique expertise in Privatization acquired during his time spent as a lawyer with the Government Companies Authority (GCA). There, he assisted in restructuring and privatizing government-owned companies.
In High-Tech, Peter's practice includes representation of venture capital funds and private equity investors as well as technology companies receiving venture capital and other funding. In addition, he works closely with founders and executives of emerging growth companies, providing strategic legal advice and general corporate representation, including in the fields of Intellectual Property, branding and corporate partnering. Among his clients are companies in the social media and e-commerce space, semiconductor developers, mobile and cloud computing companies. He has worked with a number of his start-up clients from inception to their sale, in addition to working on complex M&A Transactions, including forced sales and leveraged buy-out.
Peter joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2007.
