Hagai Shmueli is the co-managing partner of Yigal Arnon & Co. together with Gil Oren.
Hagai represents clients in major real estate transactions and in executing complex commercial and residential real estate projects. Hagai has extensive experience advising leading construction companies and purchasing groups in the implementation and development of their projects. He also has decades of experience representing municipalities in zoning matters, evictions and land reclamations.
Moreover, Hagai represents voluntary sector clients, including nonprofits, academic and educational institutions, volunteer organizations and Christian and other religious establishments operating in Israel.
Hagai also represents companies at every stage of development in a full range of employment matters, including employee rights and benefits, management incentive plans, employee rights in the context of mergers and acquisitions and dissolutions, employment of Israelis by international corporations in Israel, as well as employment law-related litigation. In addition, he serves as an arbitrator in civil disputes.
During the 1980s, Hagai was sent to the United States on behalf of the World Zionist Organization, where, among other things, he served as the Young Judea emissary and as the North American representative of the Scouts movement. He is one of the founders of the 'B’Tselem' human rights organization and is active in the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, co-chair of the executive committee in 'Hand in Hand' - the Center for Jewish-Arab Education in Israel, and chairman of Friends of the Khan Theatre Association.
Hagai graduated from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 1978 and was admitted to the Israel Bar Association in 1980. He joined the firm that year, after completing his internship for the honorable judge Haim Cohen at the Supreme Court, and became a partner in 1988.
