Bio

Hagit Bavly focuses on real estate, commercial law, real estate finance, and planning and construction. She has significant experience in a wide variety of commercial transactions, in particular in real estate matters, where she has been ranked as a top practitioner for many years. This includes purchase and sale agreements, construction agreements, joint ventures, partnership agreements, real estate company acquisitions, real estate company IPOs, debt arrangements, and financing agreements for both projects and for companies (representing lenders and borrowers).

Hagit has extensive experience in planning procedures, including drafting rules for city plans, and representing clients with regard to planning procedures before planning committees and other authorities and in court. She also provides legal advice at all stages of complex, large-scale transactions and projects, from acquisition and planning, to construction and marketing.

Who’s Who Legal (2023 Edition) ranked Hagit as a Global Leader attorney in the Real Estate field. Hagit obtained a law degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1982, a B.Des. degree from the Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design in 1986, and an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University in 1995. She was admitted to the Israel Bar in 1984, joined the firm in 1987, and became a partner in 1995.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Represented Migdal Insurance Company and Allied Real Estate in the acquisition of a commercial center under construction in Jerusalem.Represented the Azrieli Group in the acquisition of a commercial building and related building rights located on one of Tel Aviv’s main roads, adjacent to an existing property under development by the Azrieli Group.Represented The Jewish Agency in an agreement with the State of Israel for a wide-scale project for the development and construction of 2,650 housing units for the elderly, and in a loan agreement in which a subsidiary of The Jewish Agency will receive a NIS 600 million loan from Harel Insurance Group to finance the project.Represented Apartment for Rent, a governmental company, in a transaction for the purchase of two residential buildings in Haifa, which will include 109 apartments to be made available for long-term rent.Represented two of Israel’s largest insurance companies in the purchase and development of a commercial project in the center of Tel Aviv, and the leasing of all the built area (over 40 floors, above 100,000 square meters), mostly leased to high-tech companies, including foreign entities.
