Ido Chitman

Ido brings to the table an in-depth understanding of, and familiarity with, the world of entertainment and the performing and media arts. He drafts broadcasting and distribution agreements, dealing with diverse issues of arts-related rights as well as litigation. He also assists in music production matters and advises clients on the strategic and commercial aspects of transactions with communications and new media companies.

In addition, Ido advises on matters that involve copyrights, benefits rights and performers’ rights. His focus is both on protecting such rights and on regulation and obtaining the necessary permits and authorizations. He has extensive experience representing clients entering into negotiations and agreements with artists and agents, as well as with cable and cellular companies.

Ido’s clients include large international record companies, a leading Israeli sports cable TV channel, and various well-known Israeli artists.

Ido is also active in the firm’s Insurance Department, advising insurance companies on how to avoid legal exposure. In addition, he drafts agreements and uses his extensive knowledge of the insurance industry to help guide his clients in their business planning. He also works with Israel’s Insurance Supervisor at the Ministry of Finance and assists clients in implementing and assimilating the Supervisor’s instructions and regulations.

Ido has earned a ranking in the selective Chambers Global guide and been recognized by The Legal 500 as a Recommended Lawyer. In 2004, he received both his LL.B., summa cum laude, and his B.A. in finance, summa cum laude, from the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya. While at the IDC, he was a teaching assistant for several courses: Selective Problems in Public Law, Introduction to Insurance: Life Insurance, Pension and General Insurance, for Dr. Boaz Yam; and Financing Basics and Investment Theory for Professor Amir Barnea.

Ido joined Arnon, Tadmor-Levy in 2005, and became a partner in 2013.
