Roy Keidar leads our firm's Emerging Technologies practice, and provides expert guidance and legal advise in various transformative fields:

  • Fintech, blockchain and cryptocurrencies, including distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, tokenization, and Initial Coin Offerings, algo-trading, Dex, Defi, DAOs, and various financial regulation issues.
  • Artificial intelligence, machine learning and generative AI
  • Cybersecurity, data protection and incident response
  • Web 3.0, metaverse, decentralized applications (dApps), and gaming.
  • Financial compliance, anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing regulation.

A substantive part of Roy's practice focuses on structuring and designing innovative legal solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients in either highly-regulated or under-regulated environments. As such, Roy assists clients in structuring their businesses to penetrate new markets across multiple jurisdictions. This includes providing guidance on market entry strategies, local regulatory compliance, and corporate and commercial legal considerations.

For foreign clients looking to explore business opportunities in Israel Roy provides legal counsel on Israeli licensing requirements, regulatory compliance, and corporate and commercial matters.

Roy’s background uniquely combines government and business experience. Formerly, Roy served as the legal advisor of the Israeli National Security Counsel in the Prime Minister’s Office and as an IDF officer in the international law department.

Roy teaches courses in Reichman University on emerging technologies and Legal issues related to blockchain, and frequently contributes to this space. Roy is also a founding member of the International Blockchain Lawyers Group (BLG)
