Bio

Ruth Loven, a leading partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, specializes in civil and commercial litigation and class action suits. Her expertise also extends to international intellectual property disputes, product liability cases, mass torts, internet law, consumer rights, and crisis management. 

With vast experience in defending clients facing difficult and complex legal disputes, Ruth is especially skilled at handling sensitive litigation that involves matters of public interest. For example, she has represented numerous companies, based in Israel and overseas, in high-profile class action suits and mass tort actions. This has included lawsuits involving tobacco corporations, high-value product liability and antitrust cases, lawsuits dealing with cellular radiation and other environmental issues, and numerous other disputes that have drawn significant public attention.

Ruth’s clients have included global technology companies, leading internet service providers, cellular service providers, tobacco corporations, and domestic and international banks.

Over the years, Ruth has become well-acquainted with legal systems and intellectual property regulations outside Israel, which enables her to provide comprehensive representation when handling international intellectual property disputes for both Israeli and foreign clients. 

Ruth has been ranked by Chambers Global among the leading lawyers in Israel for dispute resolution. In addition, she was designated a ‘Leading Individual’ in the field of Local Litigation and Arbitration by The Legal 500, which also recognized her in its Telecom and Media.

Ruth joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2008.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Represented Intel Inc. in numerous acquisitions in Israel, including the acquisitions of Mobileye (the largest tech acquisition ever performed in Israel) for $15.3 billion, Tower Semiconductor for $5.4 billion, Habana Labs for $2 billion, and Granulate for $650 million.
  • Represented NVIDIA in the acquisition of Mellanox Technologies for $7 billion (the second largest tech transaction in Israel history).
  • Represented Palo Alto Networks in their acquisitions in Israel, including: PureSec for $500 million, Twistlock for $450 million, Cider Security for $300 million, Bridgecrew for $200 million, and Crusoe Security.
