Cohen, Dr. Eran Lempert, Ofir Paz, Dana Kleiman and intern Aharon Levenson represented UBQ Materials, in a $170 million investment round led by TPG Rise, the climate investing fund of TPG Global. Other notable investors include Battery Ventures and MG's Catalyst. Using a patented conversion process, UBQ Materials turns landfill-destined municipal solid waste, including all organics, into UBQ™, a climate-positive, cost-competitive, and fully recyclable plastic substitute. A sustainable replacement to plastic, wood or concrete, UBQ™ can be used both on its own and in conjunction with conventional oil-based resins to offset the overall carbon footprint of end-products in industries including construction, automotive, logistics, retail, and even 3D printing. UBQ's clients include global giants such as Mercedes-Benz AG, global retail solutions provider Mainetti, and Arcos Dorados, the world’s largest franchisee of McDonald's’s restaurants across Latin America.

Advs. Barry Levenfeld, Ben Sandler and David Roness together with Daniel Green, Yuval Shalheveth, Eli Greenbaum, Ofir Levy, Shani Rapoport, Miriam Friedmann, Ofir Paz, Neta Goshen Brami, Hadar Stein, Shalhevet Hetli , Sophy Litvin and Katya Kagantsov represented PayPal in the acquisition of Curv, an Israeli cryptocurrency startup for about $200 million.

Advs. Yuval Shalheveth, Daniel Marcovici and Moshe Pasker represented the Peninsula Group in acquiring Union Bank's diamond dealers credit portfolio, currently (June 2020) valued at $91 million and potentially up to $250 million (assuming all credit lines are utilized). In return, Peninsula will pay an amount equal to the size of the credit portfolio at the time of completion at a discount of between 30% and 45%, subject to the size of the portfolio. The portfolio also includes bad and doubtful debts amounting to over $160 million which will be transferred to Peninsula without any consideration. Negotiations were carried out with representatives of Mizrahi Bank and Union Bank which one of them, as part of the terms of their merger, must sell its credit portfolio, as determined by the Director General of the Israel Competition Authority. The transaction is subject to conditions precedent and in particular the completion of the merger between the banks. 

Yigal Arnon & Co., in collaboration with the Israel Advanced Technology Industries (IATI), held a seminar on bitcoin on May 13, 2014. The seminar included lectures by Adv. Yuval Shalhevet of our firm concerning "Bitcoin and the law – can they go hand in hand?" and by executives in the Bitcoin EmBassy and Byte – Crypto-currency Innovation Lab, Israel's leading hub for bitcoin ventures and technologies, concerning their activities.
