How does ChatGPT impact intellectual property rights?
Roy Keidar, a leading partner who specializes in the field of emerging technologies, was interviewed for Jerusalem Post regarding the legal consequences arising from the increasing use of AI tools to create texts and images. According to Keidar, “If you could ask the average person whether you prohibit generation of something new on these programs they would say no, but if you ask the average owner of copyright whether they are concerned of a violation of their rights, they would say yes, there’s some concern. So what is the balance here?”.

Blue ocean: Financing platform 40Seas raises $11 million Seed round

Congrats to our client ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, a leading global carrier of international shipping, in leading a strategic debt and equity investment in 40 Seas, a high flying FinTech startup which has established a platform to modernize cross-border trade financing. Kobi Ben Chitrit and Liron Hacohen represented ZIM in its equity investment in the company while Simon Weintraub and Idan Adar represented ZIM in the negotiations of a credit facility of up to $100 million to bankroll the company’s operations.

The Irreplaceable Lesson the World Cup Taught Me

While many of you bet on the World Cup games last month, using your soccer knowledge and gut feelings, you predicted the results of the games - attorney Nimrod Vromen, a partner in the high-tech department, took it a step further when he checked statistical databases and discovered the most common result in football games is actually a 1-1 tie. The road to a successful bet was very short from there. Using a soccer analogy to explain the connection between entrepreneurship and startups, Nimrod presents this week's fascinating article in Geektime.

"Mind the Tech 2022" New York

Barak Platt, a leading partner in the field of mergers and acquisitions and high-tech, participated last week in a fascinating investor panel at the 'Mind the Tech 2022' conference held in New York.
Barak shared a number of insights on the current state of the high-tech economy, and when asked about the state of investment in Israeli high-tech during these changing times, he replied that many companies will now be required to raise funds at a lower value or be sold.
Barak Platt, a leading partner in the field of mergers and acquisitions and high-tech, participated last week in a fascinating investor panel at the 'Mind the Tech 2022' conference held in New York.
