Shopic raises $35 million Series B for smart cart solution

Congratulations to our client Shopic on completing a $35 million B-1 round funding! The Israeli company, founded by Raz Golan and Eran Kravitz, has developed smart cart technology that can be integrated onto regular shopping carts, and is already deployed by several leading grocery chains worldwide. Shopic was represented by Shira Teger and intern Aviva Loboda, and Nimrod Vromen as part of Consiglieri Ltd.

Representation of Human Security throughout Its Merger with PerimeterX

We were pleased to represent HUMAN SECURITY, a US based company, in its recent merger with the Israeli startup PerimeterX.
Both companies provide protection against bots and online fraud, but have focused their activities in different fields and geographic areas. Human Security was represented By Ben Sandler, Ofir Levy, Neta Goshen Brami, Josh Hauser, Ofir Paz, Basel Sader, and the intern Yitzchak Beller.

"Doing Business in Israel" lecture to MBA Professors, Investors and Entrepreneurs from the The University of Hong Kong

Our China Group members Simon Weintraub, Daniel Green and Chaya Kong (a HKU aluma in Israel), had the pleasure of delivering a lecture on Doing Business in Israel to MBA professors, investors and entrepreneurs from the The University of Hong Kong at Microsoft Herzliya, in collaboration with the HKU-TLV Innovation Hub. It was an interactive session discussing vital issues to consider when investing in Israel, our vision of Israeli deals with China and Hong Kong, and the impact of cultural differences on negotiations and expectations.

Bausch&Lomb and Sanoculis Announce Strategic Agreement Designed to Address Unmet needs in Glaucoma

We are proud to have represented Bausch + Lomb in leading an equity investment in Sanoculis Ltd. as part of a Series C funding round of $14 million. As part of this transaction, we also had the privilege of working alongside our terrific colleagues at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in putting in place an options agreement, under which Bausch + Lomb obtained an option to purchase all of Sanoculis' assets. Bausch & Lomb corporation is a leading global eye health company dedicated to helping people see better to live better. Sanoculis Ltd. is a medical device start-up company that develops an innovative surgical procedure for the treatment of glaucoma. /The Bausch & Lomb corporation is a global eye health company that helps people see better to live better. Sanoculis Ltd. is a start-up medical device company which develops innovative glaucoma surgery procedures.
Bausch and Lomb were represented by attorneys Eliran Furman, Dana Kleiman and Intern Aharon Levenson.

Surgical Intelligence Platform Theator Extends Series A with Additional $24 Million

This round was led by existing investors Insight Partners with additional investments by Blumberg Capital, StageOne Ventures, NFX, Mayo Clinic, iAngels and other existing shareholders of the company. Theator's has developed a surgical intelligence platform to review and analyze surgical procedures, harnessing AI and computer vision to automatically analyze every operation. Theator was represented by attorneys Nimrod Vromen, Josh Hauser and intern Aviva Loboda.

Strategic Collaboration between BioLineRx and GenFleet

Yigal Arnon - Tadmor Levi represented BioLineRx Ltd. (NASDAQ: BLRX) (TASE: BLRX), a late clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology, in the negotiation of a strategic collaboration agreement with GenFleet Therapeutics, an immuno -oncology focused biopharmaceutical company based in China, to advance BioLine’s leading candidate, Motixafortide, through a randomized Phase 2b clinical trial in pancreatic cancer. The transaction, which involved complex cross-border and IP issues, is indicative of the potential for expanding collaboration between Israeli and Chinese partners in the field of life sciences. Daniel Green, Partner, and Leah Grumet, Associate, represented BioLineRx in the transaction.
